Last time anyone tried, auto232 seemed to be working, but it is a very "touchy" piece of software that (in my case) likes to misbehave as hardware changes, because the timing changes. IE it doesn't like to get a response move too quickly after sending a move. I have a delay mechanism that is adjustable, but this simply makes the entire procedure unreliable at times. I can now burn a CD with a complete ready-to-run install on it, which I couldn't do a few months ago. This would make it fairly easy to distribute a decent book with learning already "in place". however, from statements the SSDF guys have made in the past, they primarily test "commercial programs". I'm not sure why, but can speculate that there are enough "amateur" programs that it would increase their workload by a huge amount should they also include the host of amateur programs that are now "public"... Tony Hedlund played some crafty vs X games a year ago helping me debug the auto232 code, however. It depends on whether they want to test or not...
