Other italian programmers i think that will do the same, but the costs are maybe a little high. If IBM, or some other big company, will sponsor such kind of event, a large number of programmers will reach the WMCCC. I think also that a big company as IBM can easly pay for the Hotel... or maybe give a good price in money $-)))) Ciao!!!
