This may not pertain to the current position, but these games are played out
until there isn't much doubt about what is going to happen.  If there is any
life at all in the game it should be continued, unless it's the programs
themselves that are asking to draw.

When you resign, you are supposed to get the tournament director to approve it.
This is in order to prevent operators from saddling their programs with their
own imperfect judgements.

Is Jaap the TD?  If so, he was pretty hard-core about this a few years ago, but
now is willing to give the programs a little more credit.
