  Hey Daniel, I used to run Chessmaster tournaments a lot too. As you've
probably noticed to results are usually inconsistent. One personality may come
out on top in one tourney, then dead last in the next. I think this is true for
two reasons: a)Since it's the same engine with only different settings, the
search is going to be very similar, so the strengths of each personality are
probably within 40 rating points of each other. Therefore most tournaments with
so little games will be mostly up to chance. and b) There are a lot of lines in
the book that Chessmaster can't handle for either white or black. This can
results in a win or loss that you can blame on the book not the engine.
  I think a good idea is to figure out a few personalities you really like,
include the default Chessmaster personality, and play a HUGE tournament. Lots of
games, none of the 10 game stuff. This way other factors will be filtered out.
Tournament time control is also another good idea. Good luck and regards.
