On many platforms yes I would. Although these people are also jockeying for
position, and results. The livelyhood of the commercial business is based on
results, and a lower result could reduce profits. I simply could not see Ed
resigning a game, just to have Christophe win. I also wouldn't think that
Christophe would want to win the title in that fashion. It would be tainted, and
no one would claim absolutely that he won the title fair and square.

If that action was taken, a dispute would be easy to claim, and the result could
be as severe as the entire results being wiped from both programs. I would do
that if 2 such participants took such action.

On the other hand, if I was in the NHL, and the only way I could see my team
winning the Stanley Cup was to take Wayne Gretzky out of the series, people
would see my teams enforcer drive Wayne through the boards, and into the 18th
row.... hopefully he won't get up, and probably he wouldn't. I just won the
Stanley Cup.. but again tainted..
