What we do, is what everybody does. We write the stuff in C, and then
compile it. The C compiler takes care of the graphics hardware. In our
case we use Watcom for DOS. Ie, the hardware interfacing is not our
problem (blunt enough Enrique ?) If hardware manufacturors bring out
hardware and cards that cause Watcom graphics routines to fail, then
what do you want me to do ? If they bring out new cards that then get
installed by the PC manufacturor in all their glory that then won't
support DOS programs and their drivers what do you want me to do ?

Most recent example are the dual-page mode cards. very fast for shifting
graphics data around, expecially when in dual page mode So they ship
pre-installed into dual page mode. Except dual page mode totally foxes
the C compiler routines - result mouse trails or crash or whatever. Now
there's a little program to switch the card back to single page mode -
solves the problem - but where is this program ? does the average user
even know about it, or about page modes ? etc. etc.

Maybe, Enrique, you'll just have to accept that you're one of the 5% or
so who are just not going to get the DOS one working ?

We're doing the Win95 version right now. Q2 release, allegedly.
