I think you will be able to use CSTal on your ATI card if you run the
vesa driver with the "s" switch. The problem is the dual page mode, and
CSTal needs a single page mode. So if you have a Rage 3d card, the vesa
bios extensions should be loaded with "m64vbe s" on the command line. If
you have an older card, you should check the vesa bios instructions for
the switch to use single page mode. There should be one.
