I am saying it's dead, obsolete, kaput.

For the same reason that when I use my car I don't want to tinker with
the carburetor, when I use a program I don't want to reset the computer
in special modes, load a tsr, etc. Instead, I want to run the program
without problems and with the advantages of a graphic environment and
multitasking, poor in W95 but nonexistant in DOS.

Use it. Nothing else.

Yes, you did.

Yes again, you must have been sorry to have to buy a new video card just
to run a DOS program.

No smartdrive, nothing special, same configuration that allows all other
programs to work just fine. Then, for special DOS chess programs, I
start DOS 7.0 with Shift+F5, nothing at all loaded, at times run a
cripled tsr and the program still crashes.
