Hi: Maybe you should start a new thread with a title like "Talking to possible sponsors for the next WMCCC" to get everyone's attention. I'm not sure how many people are reading this thread and are aware of all the hard work you are doing ... and how determined you are to make it happen. Also, Bob Hyatt has pointed out that, after Deep Blue 2's victory over Kasparov, the general public thinks that chess is "solved". But what if we gave any computer manufacturer whose machine won the WMCCC the right to advertise "we won the WMCCC"? If IBM gained mega-publicity with the general public through Deep Blue, could not another company steal that publicity eventually? Sooner or later, the public is going to forget about Deep Blue. Would that not be worth something? Maybe even IBM would re-enter the game. Could it hurt to try? Cheers, Mark
