this years world tourn is a gauge for the direction of several programs .shredder proved last year was no fluke ,that it is dominating computer chess at this point .fritz simply proved that as always it is always right there as a contender .tiger i think should have done better,not that it did bad .rebel proved that its getting better and better .i look for ed to take the title next year .junior did not do well for what ever reason .nimzo was a dissapointment .crafty's result did not reflect its true power ,but im glad crafty was there ,i look for #3 position or better next year .hiarcs for not being there shows that there is no improvement or the programmer did not think his result would have been good .
