Hi all. First off, congrats to Stefan for winning the WMCCC 2000! ICC was due to have its 2nd CCT in late July following a 6 month (bi-annual) schedule. However, it was brought to my attention that since the WMCCC was in august, September might make more sense. (programmers wouldn't want to expose their tournament books etc). Well, September is just around the corner. I'd like to take a general survey as to the type and dates of CCT #2. Something in a previous post by Christophe Theron captured my attention.. "The idea of playing each opponent 2 times, once with white and then with black is indeed very interesting. It is easy to do, and does not need more organization effort: it does not generate more moving computers around. Combine this with faster time controls, and you get a much reliable tournament result." I guess feasibility of a double round robin with alternating colors depends on the # of participants. I'd be very happy to get some feedback on your thoughts, Many thanks, Steve Lim aka SJLIM(*) on ICC. Quote of the month.. "I always pick Shredder to win because he freaking always wins." - Bruce
