Only a few little tips :

a.) play an uneven number of rounds , else Swiss goes mad ( last time 8 rounds
was a bad idea )

b.) Make decent rules about connection problems and/or not showing up ( think of
Diep who seemed to suffer 5 discos a game or so or the Junior case where people
where sitting there waiting for hours until dust cleared ) . I think 3 or 4
simple rules will be enough while last time noone had any idea as suddenly
middle of tourn tournament director vanished too

c.) I personally like long time controls but it seems obvious if you want to
attract the ICC public the round must not last longer than 2 hours ( People will
keep watching a Kasparov - Kramnik game longer but no computer event ) ; I
think 10 secs inc are needed if you want to attract any manual , so something
like a 30/10 or longest a 45/10 comes to mind .

d.) Do some serious advertisement like you do for other ICC events .

e.) How about some "trophy" like a crafty(CM) aka computer master ( sounds silly
but can't hurt either ) :-) ?

f.) With something like 30/10 it could be 2 games a day easily allowing
replaying with reversed colours .

g.) Although it was a first time event _and_ there were some fights between Dr
Hyatt and Mr Ban it was in general very smooth and fair , by all means don't
make it a random event with any ICC computer account able to join .

h.) get a few more of the big names to show up ; the ICC amateurs will show up
anyway ; it was quite close last time in fact but if tried it would for example
probably have been possible to have at least Shredder 4 playing ..

Ok , that's about all that comes to mind fast from a spectator's point ; it sure
will be a great event to watch live anyway ( as live is always something
different .. )
