It was an oversight in the tidying up I did. The files were actually produced by the programs as they played (it was a rule of the tournament that each program must produce a standard PGN file) and I tidied them up and ECO classified them with Chessbase to help get them up on the ICCA website more quickly. The naff dates are what the programs wrote. Just be thankful you didn't see the rubbish they put in the other fields!
