I guess that it is what Wolfgang suggests. I think that it was better for Shredder if he said nothing because the result of Shredder was impressive and it suggests that shredder is the best program to buy(ignoring opening books) because it got the first place inspite of bad book lines. If wolfgang is right then it suggests that probably the Shredder engine is not better than Fritz and Shredder won because of better opening preperation (book that helped shredder to get positions that it knows to play).
