It is not clear if it made a tremendous improvement. It is clear that there was a big channge and it is clear that there were cases when the change were positive but there were also cases that the changes were negative(see the move h5 against shredder and the loss against nimzo when previous version of Junior is not going to let nimzo to sacrifice the rook for the knight).
