This is exactly the point.
You should not tell bruce to have a business
It is his decision.

You should understand that Bruce has the right not to sell his engine.

Bruce did not complain about the fact that he does not get more money than
amatuer programmers.

He only complained about the fact that he  has to pay more than most of the
other programmers if he wants to participate in events like WMCCC.

The last fact is correct even if he sells his engine.
He has to pay more money because he does not live in  the right place.
