IE in "our" way of counting, the recapture stuff doesn't influence anything. In Junior's way, it does. I think that even though he counts half-plies, his search of (say) 18 half-plies is better than a normal search of 9 plies. Otherwise he would get killed with a 9 ply search. I also think that comparing 9 plies to 9 plies is problematic, of course, since different searches make better or worse use of those 9 plies.
