1)I suggest you stop using old programs like Fritz3 or Junior5 as players in the ssdf list. The reason is very simple It is possible to get 100% result against program like Junior5 only by opening preperation(It takes a long time but I believe that it is possible by using the autoplayer to play thousands of games and save the winning games as part of the opening book) Nobody did it in the past but I think that it is better to prevent problems before they happen and not after they happen. 2)I think that it will be better if the list will include only programs like Shredder,Junior,Fritz,Crafty without a version number when you always use the latest public version. This idea can encourage programmers to sell their latest version or to release a free upgrade every time they think they have a better version(this is not the situation now and there are many programs when the latest version is not public inspite of the fact that the programmers know that it is better). The version number will be included only in the pgn file of the games and for every program there will be information about the number of games that every version played(the result of the latest version will be more important because the rating system say that the latest results are the most important results).
