Wow...500 games sounds good to me. For the Winboard Crafty, I'd use all Winboard stuff....Use Bob Hyatt's tournament book, if he has one, and use tablebases, if possible. For the CB Crafty, use the default book for the Young Talents (or use the Fritz 6 book). That way, the tournament is, to the extent possible, and All-Winboard Crafty versus an All-Chessbase Crafty. Also, use the same Winboard version of Crafty that plays in the Young Talents. That way, the version numbers are the same, just that the platforms are different. No one can say that a newer Winboard Crafty version beat the older Chessbase version that way. This will be interesting, because it could show that the SSDF representation of Crafty isn't quite up to the standards of the Winbard version. Or vice versa. :) Roger
