I for one have played the Center Counter over the past 15 years and have beaten players from low strengh up through strong expert strengh 2100 and i won one game against our local master in our club who has a rating of 2335 but this win was with the 2....Nf6 line and not the Queen taking back. Our local club Master played with the Queen taking back the pawn on move #2 for many years and says that he done very well with it! I personally been playing the 2....Nf6 line in the Center Counter for years and done well with it. It's by far not even close to a beginners opening and i wouldn't be afraid to play this opening against any strong player. Regards,Terry
