I watched this game live and I was quite sure, that Shredder will lose, when I
noticed that Qxb4,cxb4 as well as Bxf3 are all losing. But Shredder found
interesting Bc4, which saved the game. Question: was it counted or was it book?
I checked position with 4 programs on AMD 450Mhz:
Fritz6a 30m -Qxb4
Crafty 17.10 30m -Qxb4 (149m -Ba2)
Junior6a 16m -Qb3
20m -Ba2
Lg2000 v2.9 13m -Bc4
As normally Goliath is the fastest in tactical counting. I wonder if Ba2
is even better move than Bc4?
