I agree with Bob Hyatt on Computers being a long way from being GM level. I play on chess.net with Fritz 5 and other programs(Hiarcs and Reb8) and have played quite a few games vs GMs there, one of them being GM Larry Christiansen. Larry Christiansen destroys computers at blitz chess, which is a time control that should favor the computer. When I play standard chess vs GM Alexander Ivanov he has defeated my programs pretty easily as well.
