Subject: Nostalgy Tournament for Sensible People

Well, until now we are 5: Thorsten, Albert, Christophe, Karsten and me.
By the way, Kasrten I believed I was mad because I have something like 4
or 5 old units and 50 PC programs, more or less, but you with your 150
dedicated units, you are the champion. You deserve to be condecorated...
Respect the tournament, I think we must wait a couple of days because
maybe more people could want to join. We can put twesday or wenesday as
limit date. Then, we can do the list of programs and machines available,
to chose the most interesting of them because quality or historic
reasons and then we should stablish a rythm of play. Thorsten, I believe
one hour per move is too much, but is debatable. I suppose the way to do
it is so easy as to stablish the pairings and then comunicate moves by
Email,in contant connection. Sundays is cheaper and all of us have more
time, I guess. No matter, this we can see later.
Else: the programs and unit should be really old. No sense to use, let
us say, a Travel Champion unit. I propose 1989 year as a limit. Inside
that limits I have Par Excellence, Chessmaster 2000, Psion, Colossus X,
Cyrus, Power Chess ( an old one, not the actual based in Wchess by
Kittinger), Mychess, Sargon V and I don't remeber more, I should take as
look at my old floppy disk boxes.
Some new ideas and sugestions?
Fernando
