I'd sure do hope so - but I really doubt it. What a pity and what a shame, my >good Shredder ! > >ELVIS >detlef-pordzik@teleos-web.de OK, here is my story: Marcus Kaestner is no longer and will very likely never again be a beta tester of mine for reasons I don't want to discuss in public. I came back from London obviously very happy and had to face this junk here and in other newsgroups. I read here that Marcus believes that the current versions of Tiger and Rebel are much better in the endgame than Shredder and that Shredder will lose a match against Fritz. This opinion is fine with me as I don’t know the truth myself as all those programs are not public available and that he can have any opinion he likes. What I don’t like is that he stated that he played many games with the Shredder London version against various opponents at the London time control and that his opinion is based on those test matches. This simply is NOT true as Marcus Kaestner doesn’t have any recent beta version of Shredder. He knows the 9 games Shredder played in London plus maybe some of the blitz games played there, that’s all. If he wants to draw any conclusions from those games, ok, but he should not claim knowing more. Everybody reading his posts must get the impression that Marcus Kaestner knows better as he has all the beta versions played in London and played tons of games with it. So what should I have done? Applauding to this false statements? I just don’t like people throwing mud at me. In some German newsgroups he also stated that this was Shredder’s last title and that in future Rebel, Tiger and Fritz will be dominant. Already the commercial versions will be much better than Shredder. I am getting the impression that he is mad at me for reasons I don’t want to speculate about and wants to hurt my and Shredder’s reputation. I want everybody to know that all of his statements and predictions are based on the 9 games of Shredder played in London or will be based on the commercial version of Shredder5 which will be out in October. No worries Elvis, the vibes in my team are still very good, why shouldn’t they be? I really would like to stop all this crap here so it would be nice if there won’t be any more postings in this or similar threads. Stefan
