Galahad 1.0 is available from http://members.xoom.com/jswaff/galahad. A few notes: 1. win32 program 2. doesn't include the console engine that plays on ICC 3. the GUI engine isn't very strong, doesn't have any books, hashing, tb's, etc. basically just a working C++/MFC engine with a GUI. 4. you can't interface to another program or ICC (server code will be in 2.0) 5. source code and VC 6 project files included 6. I mentioned this in the help file and the about box: the evaluator is a bitmap translation of Kerrigan's TSCP 1.3. The eval terms (except piece/square tables) can be modified via menu options before a game. (King safety terms and other terms are separated) 7. Most of my beta testers missed this: you can add or remove pieces from the board (before a game) by right clicking on a square and selecting the appropriate entry from the pop up menu. Other aspects of the position (player on move, castling, ep, etc) can be modified via menu entries. I think that's it. Thanks. :-) -- James
