I have played some of those personalities in CM6000 on a PII/333. For me, the real tough opponents started at 1900 ratings (although I'm certainly much weaker), it's like running against a concrete wall then. In general, I would suggest to look into the personality settings - not the info which if given there where the photos and test descriptions are, but in the personality profiles (where you can design your own opponents too). There, you can see the "individual" settings of each of them, and you may be able to play especially against these weaknesses. For example, I remember one which evaluates rooks lower than knights, but is unlimited otherwise. This one was hard to beat, because I had to construct a situation where he would make the wrong trading. When "Lucy" plays very fast, I think you just have to take your time and don't let yourself be hunted by that. If CM's thinking time is very short, the moves can't be that good and you will be able to beat the program with solid play. Also, if she is rated 1500+ only, there should be additional limitations in her profile. Regards, M.Scheidl
