Hi shanti,
           I know you didnt, but even if you did want to bypass chessbase, it
wouldnt help much as it would require a password and some necessary files to
make it run..
as for the service pack i have got the first service pact (fritz6a), I have
fritz6b too, but as a registered user i didnt get any e-mail from the
chessabse....coz i was told it wont be available as a service pack.
is the above link for fritz6a or 6b?
