>I suggest that programs (Sargon V) that use transposition tables are not >truly worthy to compete for any kind of "Nostalgy" title... :-) My Colossus X can fight against almost ANY program ! If the opponent has hash-tables, I could switch Colossus from normal selective (where it can blunder) into brute-force ! Don't forget that Colossus makes between 100.000 and 150.000 NPS on my machine !! :-) This can stand almost any opponent. (I hope so...) Also there is REXCHESS ! And not to forget my 8 Bit Leonardo Maestro 10 Mhz module with Kaplan's D ++ 6502 experimental program ! Don't underestimate it. It can sac !! Also I still have KRABAT chess for ATARI ST. Uff . Or my Sinclair ZX Spectrum 16 KByte is still alive.... Where do I have my CPC 464 ? There was a colossus4 version, where do I have the MC-tape ? This version was even stronger and more selective than Colossus X.
