There's nothing wrong with the engine I think, only the gui. Faster or slower, there's probably very little difference. After reinstalling the old Fritz6.exe everything works as it did before, except for the "new" engines. The patch isn't exactly an example of pure genius, but I shouldn't complain for obvious reasons.
