Just for fun, can you try this? 8/6r1/Pp5p/7k/p7/7K/6P1/R7 w - - 0 2; bm a1a3; On the same P600E, also with 184MB hash, F6b picks Ra3 after 93 seconds, ply 18, while F6a doesn't find it in less than 5 minutes. Enrique
