Perhaps, but his colleagues seemed to frighten him. A true visionary wouldn't
let anyone prevent him from paving his own path. In this case Chris had his own
idea on a chess program and a firm belief, as he posted, that it would best any
and all, but the fact that he could not get his colleagues to agree with him
stopped him. I don't know, perhaps he was daunted by the task of making his
program, brilliant but erratic, into a more consistent fighter. I have played it
at a friend's house and it is a very enjoyable opponent, on a par with Mchess.
