While I agree with all you wrote the fact is the term IGM
is used. It may define to all Grandmasters however that was not
your original question.

Which is why I started with assuming you are serious.
You could instead just have posted the simple question why is the
term IGM used instead of GM? Besides which this isn't even the right
forum for either of those questions.
