Sure Robert but I must have tried just about every way to promote a pawn in
"analyze" mode in versions 17.11 and 17.5 , from Dann's FTP site,
wcrafty-17.12.exe from your own site and it works with no problem when Crafty is
just playing a game. However I also tried version 16.17 also from Dann's site in
"analyze" mode and that version did accept f8=Q or, e.g. after setboard
8/N7/8/5k2/6p1/8/5p2/5K2 w - - and entering Kg2 16.17 accepts f1=Q:
Black(0): f1=Q
Black(1): f1=Q+
