Yesterday I watched a German TV show called "Who becomes millionaire " .

In something like the 1000.-DM question it was

"What was the name of the chessprogram which defeated Gary Kasparov in 1997 `?"

a.) Deep Throat
b.) Deep Blue
c.) Deep Space Nine
d.) Deep Purple

Although the canditate was quite sure it wasn't c. or d. :-O

he didn't have a clue what to answer and had to use one of his valueable jokers.

I came to the conclusion you don't get a clear picture of its popularity when
judging by CCC discussions ;-))

PS : Never heard about this Larry King or this Carmen Electra before ;-)
