Dear Marc, My insights in computer chess are not good and deep enough to make me think one way or another about the value of your contribution to computer chess. I also ignore who you made contact with and the consequences of these contacts. Only programmers, either professional or in the academic field, such as some ICCA members, can be of any use to you. Have you tried to approach them, or to publish a paper in the ICCA? My father, a psychiatrist, used to tell me that, even more than therapy, what depressed people need is lots of affection coming from their personal environment. You won't find it in computer chess, a techno field of inherent sterility. Thankfully, the world is much bigger and infinitely more interesting than that. But I think that at the very least you should still try to publish your findings. Bob Hyatt is a person you may want to approach. He is very helpful and knows a great deal, both about programming and the academic world. All the best, Enrique
