Maybe they have phonebooks in comic form to make them more readable. Then again, how many pages filled with Larsens do you have there in the Copenhagen district phonebook? Eelco P.S. My poor computer meanwhile is still trying to finish that seventeenth ply in Enrique Irazoqui's mate in twelve in case anyone was wondering about that. Close to 125 hours now with three engines running and several other applications too some of the time, it's not really a lightyear but what is the record for a single search? Every now and then I see a small change in the displayed line Q5T is working on so I let it run a little longer. Maybe the ! re-search (There also seems to be a ? re-search which I have never seen before!) does not agree very well with the Deeper search technique in this my experimental Rebel personality. The program hasn't fallen into a loop though as also demonstrated by the result of a ! re-search at 13 ply of [D]N6Q/pp1kb3/6r1/8/2pp2q1/5nP1/PPP2P1P/RN2BK2 b - - 0 1, JorgeAldreteLobo VS. I am glad the engine found 3. Qe5+ while it was still three plies away. The regular Rebel I now try as the third engine sees Qe5+ many hours earlier but switches its prediction, at the moment sees no advantage for Black and plays 2. ..Rg8.
