Hello again,

Let me jog your memory a little, regarding Thorsten.

What I said was (a quote):

"To have the mind excessively preoccupied with a single emotion or topic, the
way Thorsten's mind seems to be working, is difficult to accomodate in a forum
of this type."

As you can see, I never said that Thorsten should be censored, I just said that
he is difficult to accommodate in a forum like CCC. Another thing is that I
personally never censored him as this is my first time ever as moderator.

Thorsten _is_ posting even now and taking part in discussions on CCC, using an
alias. I do think that he should start using his real name, but it's up to him
right now as long as he respects the Charter.

You: during the "Hans Gerber" time, you asked the moderators to re-activate
your account, which they did. After a few days you posted your username and
password and were formally suspended indefinitely. Right? At the beginning of
the previous moderators' mandate you didn't have an account with your own name
because you had asked that it be disabled during some earlier argument. Then you
made multiple fake accounts and caused havoc. Right?

ChessBase: I do write little things every now and then for the German magazine
"Computerschach und Spiele" and I do test some of the ChessBase products. That
should not make me sycophantic at all with regard to the company -- I think that
I see the shortcomings of ChessBase products quite clearly and regularly write
about these to the ChessBase people. Computer chess is a hobby for me, I do not
make any money out of it. It just so happens that ChessBase is still producing
the best databases and chess playing programs, IMO, of course.

Naturally, there are other interesting programs that I like and respect (let me
mention only a few): Shredder, Tiger, Rebel, Crafty and Chess System Tal, etc.
The latter is wonderful, serendipitous and fun to play against. And strong,
especially against humans. Although I have been attached to Fritz ever since
the times of Knight Stalker (Fritz 1), I recognise the worth of other programs
and try not to question other people's tastes when discussing programs' merits.
And, least of all, do I try to question other people's efforts: thousands and
thousands of hours put into testing programs by the SSDF, for example.

Discussion in this forum _can_ be open-minded and democratic. The only thing
needed is decency.

*** Djorde
