Hi James,

I've played around with a few flavours of Linux before. I'd recommend the Redhat
and Mandrake distributions. They installed ok, and were very stable.

At work, I recycled an old P90 by installing Linux, and installing some free web
proxy software. This provides cheap, reliable access to the web for a whole
bunch of PC's on our LAN.

At home, I tried Mandrake. It proved reliable and quick.

If you haven't played with Linux, I'd recommend it. See just how stable your PC
can be with the right OS ;-)

Rgds,
Tom

(Still annoyed that Francesca turned down that draw by rep offer in London!)
