It is true I know very little about the kill double function, since I have used
it just a couple of times in my life. I admitted this explicitely. I don't know
where doubles come from, I don't have an application for the function. And I
don't know why it is an absolutely central make-or-break thing in CB8. I would
have thought that all the other stuff Matthias and Co. have been working on for
the past year would be greeted with curiosity -- which I believe is warrented.

Having said that there <i>are</i> improvements in the kill doubles function.
It's the other Mathias (the one with only one "t") who did the work, and I'll
ask him to explain what is new and improved. Hey, maybe in the end you'll be
happy, and it will turn out I simply didn't know what they had done.
