Thanks for your votes on the schedule. Most folks wanted the longer time-control, and eight rounds. By eliminating the break between the second and third rounds (Amir's idea), we pick up the time necessary to do 45 10. And a west coast start of 7am is very reasonable, so we get 2:20 hours per round, which should be enough. However, it's still possible that we will get some extra long games, which will push the schedule back. People ought to be prepared for that. Steve Lim (sjlim), the ICC admin who will be TD for the tourney, has indicated that he will soon make an official ICC post addressing rules and regs, and confirm the schedule and times.
