Because they use a non-standard memory manager hash tables are limited to the size of available conventional memory, unless of course you create a DOS boot disk in order to cripple your PC for anything else other than HIARCS. This problem is not limited to OS2 it will manifest itself even with WIN31 or WINDOWS95. The bottom line is that hash tables are crippled unless HIARCS has exclusive access to the PC. The more astute among you may have noticed that discussion of this subject has been deftly avoided on the HIARCS web page. Since this limitation has not been explicitly stated in any of the literature I consider it to be a defect. If a solution can't be arrived at I'm going to insist on a refund. Peter Stein
