It's common knowledge that USCF ratings are different to FIDE elo (for the same strength), or german ratings are different to swedish. So nothing is comparable anyway in that point. Important are the differences between the ratings IMO, and in which order the programs appear at the list - but not if it's 2710,2705,2695 or 2650,2645,2635. Nobody will ever know how accurate this is compared to FIDE ratings. GM's playing a few games once in a while, if any, don't provide enough results IMO. More of concern, and having been discussed a lot, are technical issues (autoplayer), and all the details of playing prog-prog games like learning on or of, which books are used and things like that (there are lots of such strength-relevant settings as you surely know). These are issues where I've never seen detailed documentation, hardly have got answers showing interest in such details, and have decided not to care for all of that stuff anymore. Regards, M.Scheidl
