Hi Bruce,

The Dutch championship is OPEN. I think there is a small group
of people there who wish it to be closed, but I think they are a
minority.

We felt very welcome there and everyone was quite friendly. Maybe
next year you should try to come too if you are able. There are
not enough events to suit me so I try to get to the ones I can.

The tournament is a little unbalanced in the sense that there are
always 2 or 3 really strong entries and everyone else is much
weaker. Most everyone felt like the thing was almost over after
the first 6 or 7 games, all the strong programs had played each
other and already had a large lead over everyone else.

There needs to be more strong entries. There are 11 rounds too!
I really like that, lot's of opportunity to play everyone, and
the results are less fluky.

I wish we had a great tournament like this in the States. Maybe
we should organize our own? Anyone interested? My idea is to
have a comfortable tournament and keep the cost down. We have
space we can donate so the actual site is taken care of.
