There is no correlation between a Humans Elo rating and a Computers elo rating
Fritz on a 500Mhz machine got 2 different performances one of 2393 far cry from
your 2500 claim and a 2550 one in another tournament 2457 for average maybe it's
a definite 2500+ player on a 1 Ghz machine but i am trying to figure that out
for myself. What depth on most comercial programs do you need to avoid loss
against a 2500 player ofcourse every position will be different and
scientifically 2 games aren't enough but look at the weil and wely games from
the dutch championships ....... i couldn't find the exact point where black is
lost according to LG2000 v 2.9a , Ikarus , or Hiarcs 7.32...... Programs need
17ply to play really well example LG2000 took 16 or 17 ply to find that DJ6 was
in rough shape at around move 18..... Hiarcs would never reach that depth
without pruning and not without a 200Ghz processor.
