Powers of 36 are quite a bit >better than powers of 64. > >bruce chess on a 12x12 is very simple actually if you both only start with a king. on a 6x6 with each 2 pieces it's real easy too. however, i have already huge problems with draughts. it has theoretical just 50 squares, and at most 2 different pieces, so constructing egtbs for those considering the reduction should be fairly easy, yet constructing 6 men there is already hard, where there are some REAL interesting 5 against 2 cases, so actually you only get close to the human many hundreds of moves studies when you get to 7 men!
