In checkers I can think up to 20 moves ahead but in chess I just rely on strategy and usually get killed by the computers, since they look ahead up to thirty + ply and are tactical monsters. Most of the folks here realize how useless it is to excel at chess and so we concentrate our efforts on living. We do however like a good game of chess even though the computer or human is beating us. I think that most chess players here are better than 90% of the chess playing public. Tim Frohlick
