I am calling Fritz 5 the Program of the Year. It's chesstree opening
book is truly amazing. As for database capabilities, it has limits on
the number of found games in a search and it can search only on header
and position info and it has limits on number of games that it can copy,
but it does list all the games of a PGN file( Genius doesn't do that)
and reads any pgn,cbf or cbh files plus an archive format. But the
chesstree/opening book is the gem. You will also like that it talks to
you and it has a super analyze position feature called "Correspondence
mode". See my review at the Computer Chess reports. You will fall in
love with this program.
