I have had the odd crashing problem with a Rebel 9 beta but since
receiving the final version, everything seems ok. Are you running any
other chess programs? Do they run okay? What machine are you running
them on? Could be a graphics problem and/or VESA mode. Did you try
starting Rebel with the V option on the command line? Maybe you should
execute the STAET.bat program that comes with Rebel. See your Rebel
readme file.
