I doubt very much that this numbers are real. I have seen Drago's numbers and they were around 350K per second. If some program will be able to see 14000000 nodes per second it will become very quickly the next champion. NPS is not everything but after such a number everything else is very near. If initially mentioned program can see 1300knps, it is more that simple performance. I could see something like this only if my program was seeing all the nodes in each ply (minimax). Not at all in normal search! When all moves found for each ply (all time legal moves are found and first sorting is done in move generator), then numbers are usually between 900000 nps and 1250000 nps. Computer AMD 400Mhz. During the usual search this number goes 3 or 4 times down. Between 190k and 330k. Only if my program is changed to see the nodes like all others program (all plys searched in identical way) then nps is somewhat better. Then it is between 350k and 440K. Leonid.
