I haven't read the article, but it sounds like Rudolf Huber might have been
being humble about his Chess playing abilities.

Having used the Winboard version of SOS, I can tell that Rudolf Huber
understands the game of Chess very well.  Great program, one of my favorites.  I
keep hoping he'll release another Winboard version of SOS, but I'm not holding
my breath.
